A history lesson, heavy Metal style. Iced Earth's latest release: "The Glorious Burden" is an epic masterpiece from the Start to finish. Jon Schaffer is a huge history buff, and he wanted to show his love for history by creating a metal album that has songs based off of historical military events. Each song musically fits well with the topic given for each track. While all the songs will blow you away, nothing will prepare you for the monsterous thirty-two minute epic "Gettysburg: 1863". Overall a great cd and Iced Earth's new lead singer Tim "The Ripper" Owens fits perfectly with the bands new sound.
