Summary of this DVD... | ||
Based on the novel by Jane Austen, this film is about five sisters whose mother is desperate to marry them off into wealth. When the second eldest daughter, Elizabeth Bennet (Kira Knightley), meets Mr Darcy (Matthew MacFayden), she is less than charmed by his coldness. Through a series of misunderstandings the two dislike each other more every time they meet. This story is all about the title, pride and prejudice. When they learn to overcome these weaknesses, they find that they are in fact more alike than they thouht. It makes for one of the greatest love stories of all time.
This type of DVD is good for...
those who love the classics. Even though I've read the book and loved it, I think most people will prefer to watch the movie, because it's easier to understand and follow.
I especially liked... | ||
the whole movie is great. I don't think it's possible to choose one exact thing that stands out more than another.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
are great. A few faces I haven't seen too many times appear, but they really work well togther.
I recommend this DVD because...
it really represents the cliche that love conquers all. It's written by a well known author who knows a thing or two about love.
