Summary of this Book...
‘The Lost World’ is the sequel to ‘Jurassic Park’, set 6 years later. When ‘aberrant forms’ of mysterious lizards begin appearing on a remote island, Richard Levine organises an expedition to investigate. Believing that these strange animals are actually dinosaurs created by InGen several years ago, he sets out to discover the truth behind the cover-up of the events that took place on a remote Costa Rican island 6 years ago. Levine enlists the help of Ian Malcolm, one of the survivors of Jurassic Park. When Levine suddenly disappears, a scientific investigation becomes a rescue mission. Joined by animal expert Sarah Harding and engineer Jack Thorne, Malcolm leads the team in search of Levine, accompanied by some uninvited guests. Though I haven’t read many of Michael Crichton’s books, I have thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have tried, and this is no exception. Action and adventure are blended seamlessly with some fascinating scientific theories. Crichton has a very ‘readable’ style of writing that keeps the reader hooked throughout.
