The authors take a historical look at Vlad Dracula who lived in Romania in the mid 1400's. They start with an overview of Dracula's father and his early life before tackling the myths and legends which surround the larger than life man.

taking a serious look at the type of life that Dracula led. So much of his life is hyped up in the vampire myth, but here you'll find a real man who was very complicated.

how the author's presented the story. I liked the background info on Dracula's family and it was interesting to discover how his time in capavity by the Turks made him into the person he was.

write my own "tell-all" about Dracula. He's such in interesting figure, but the real man is something most readers aren't aware of.

like I discovered something - the true life of history's most infamous count.

Did a lot of research and it paid off.

it's easy to read and hard to put down. Dracula is a very interesting historical figure.

The setting is well establish and it was interesting to find out the historical background of the church and how it's influence played out in Dracula's part of the world. It teaches history while not being preachy, dull, or boring about it. The book is very useful in discovering the true Dracula. If anything, while there are photographs, I wished they could have been in color, it would help to capture the feel of the faces and places better.
