The Earth is destroyed, and while this should be a terribly sad event, the mice are kind of mad that it didn't get destroyed by aliens five minutes later. This book is off-the-wall, and while I didn't get some of the more obscure British jokes, this book is my favorite in comedy books.

Anyone who's looking to read something that doesn't have any more serious bent than telling you that Thursdays are terrible.
This book is also for people who know where their towels are.

When after several thousand years of waiting for the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything and finding out that they really should have asked the question first, one being turns to the other being sitting next to him and asks, "We're gonna get lynched, aren't we?"

This book is easier to find since the movie came out, but it's still pretty hard to find.

I wanted to ride on the Heart of Gold with the mismatched crew!

Every time I read this book, I usually disturb the people near me because I am laughing (again) at jokes that I've read three million times.

May he rest in peace. Wish he was still here with us and making us laugh.

It's quite possibly the top five in funny science-fiction novels of the last century. Possibly number one.

If you don't get British humor you'll be totally lost.

This book is hilarious. I still snicker when I think about that bloody Vogon poetry...Oh, freddled gruntbuggly...thy micturations are to me...
