Summary of this Video Game...
You play as a girl named Miku. Her older brother disappeared while investigating a haunted mansion. So she goes exploring into the mansion to find him. As the story unfolds, Miku discovers shocking secrets of murder and rituals that took place in the mansion. Spirits are restless, and most of all, what happened to her brother?
This type of Video Game is good for...
Those who like to be scared! This game is not for the faint hearted. This game proves that it doesn’t have to be gory to be frightening. Ghosts sometime appear randomly and try to make you jump. In certain rooms, put your TV volume real loud and you’ll hear voices whispering.
I especially liked...
The camera obscure. Unlike other survival horror games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil, you don’t fight with weapons. You’re armed with a magical camera that has the ability to hurt or capture ghosts on film. Some ghosts are vengeful while others are wandering spirits that won’t attack you. For violent ghosts, you use different types of film and camera features to exorcise them. By taking pictures of ghosts, you obtain points which can be used to upgrade features on the camera obscure.
I didn't like...
Unfortunately, this game takes up a lot of space on the memory card. Also, if you want to keep a photo album of all your ghost pictures, it will cost a large amount of memory too. This may cause you to forcibly delete other saved data to make room or buy another memory card if you plan on having a lot of albums.
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
Play again. I wanted to max out my stats for the camera. More importantly, you have a thing called a “ghost list.” This keeps a record of all the ghosts you’ve taken. So I had to go back and capture the ones I missed.
I recommend this Video Game because...
The setting is creepy. The story is interesting and you never know when or where a ghost will make its presence known.
I don't recommend this Video Game because...
If you get scared easy, then stay far away from this game. Some of the puzzles can get frustrating too. Unless you like a challenge.
Further Comments...
This is the ultimate game if you like ghosts. It’s made in a Japanese style of horror. You can really tell from the cultural differences. Fatal Frame deserves to be recognized. If you like this video game, then consider looking into part 2 and 3. The fourth installment has been rumored to be in the works for the Nintendo Wii.
