Summary of this Book...
This book is the true story about two women in Georgia and their respective murders at the hands of the same man, fourteen years apart. The man was a dentist and respected member of the community. The forsensic advances that occurred by the second killing in 2004 led to the resolution of the first case from 1990. Both were at first assumed to be a suicide. The catalyst that may have led to the second killing was an internet relationship based on deceit and lies told to the victim.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who even considers any sort of internet based friendship or relationship. It is an eye opening and cautionary tale.
I especially liked... | ||
Ann Rules' consistent and reliable gift for analyzing character traits that go beyond the surface facade of her characters. She identifies strongly with her victims and tells a compelling story.
I didn't like... | ||
how this book made me realize just how naive I, myself, have been in the past.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
write a review about it!
This Book made me feel...
sad for the victims and their families, especially the girl, Dolly, whose death was deemed a suicide for so long.
The author of this Book...
tells a story that I couldn't put down once I started reading.
I recommend this Book because...
Ann Rule is a great storyteller and this is one of her best efforts.
Further Comments... | ||
I would highly recommend Ann Rule's The Stranger Beside Me because it is the true story of her relationship with Ted Bundy and how working right next to a serial killer led to her career as a true crime writer.
