An epic tale of adventure that starts out with a boy who crosses the wall that no one is allowed to get past. It then forwards twenty years into the future to his son's life Tristan and his love; the beautiful village girl. One night they see a falling star and he promises he would bring the star back to her to prove his love. Once he finds the star he realises that it's a girl Claire Danes and the adventure begins. The evil witches want the star for themselves to sacrifice her life to keep them young. The pirates are led by Robert DeNiro who also likes a bit of cross dressing action. Ricky Gervais has a small cameo role amongst the cast, as does Sienna Miller and Peter O'Toole.

A great fantasy action movie.

It was slow in parts with the journey of the witches and the King's sons all vying to get the stone that will make them King and see them all meet their doom.

Watch it again!

Like watching it again and going and buying a copy for my house.

It's a really great movie with excellent effects.
