Let's face it: in and of itself, philosophy is a boring topic. The method the authors use to explain it is ingenious. The lofty topics that ancient philosophers sat on tree stumps discussing are brought down to layman's terms by reducing their meaning to jokes and one liners.

A good bit of light reading. Such profound ideas as are presented and exlained here are rarely entertaining. In this case, it's like a gourmet dish: all preparation.

I loved this book from beginning to end. Reading my dad's copy inspired me to order one of my own so that I could finish it more quickly.

Read its sequel: Aristotle and an Aardvark go to Washington. (Yes, it's out there...I bought it too)

It's a great way for those who have a difficult time understanding philosophy to grasp it. It's also a good laugh.

This book is only 200 pages, that includes acknowlegements and a brief glossary of philosopical terms used within.
