In his book "Night", Elie Wiesel describes his own personal experiences as a prisoner in a jewish concentration camp. The author does a tremendous job describing the psychological aspects of what he went through as a jewish youngster; the atrocities he witnessed upon arriving and the steps his mind went through to process everything.

This is the sort of book that slams you against the wall very quickly. It's short and hard to put down. I read it in three short hours, while my husband (who is admittedly a slow reader) read it in a day.

Highly recommended.
