Summary of this Book...
Bella and Edward now married with their own baby. A child half vampire and half human that is also bound to the same werewolf that has been Edwards competition and Bella's best friend. Vampires unite against the enforcers of their kind. The end is anticlimactic, and I am just sadistic enough to not reveal it.
This type of Book is good for...
Teenagers and upset housewives that feel they have settled in their relationships.
I especially liked... | ||
That Edward was not SUCH a controlling jerk and Bella could hold her own to some degree. Also, it's over.
I didn't like... | ||
The blatant disregard for the basic universal idea of what a vampire is. If anyone thought that Anne Rice's vampires were a little too pretty, well say hello to the Cullens. In all lore vampires have been a darker, more intimate mirror of ourselves. Hence the inherent erotic tones from so many legends. It is not because they are inviting in their beauty, they are us. They are the new wife you lost, the father who held you returned. If the author wanted to create a whole new creature please do so but do not mislabel your creations.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to sit down and write an article on why teenage girls should not view Edward as the ultimate love. In fact, their relationship is one out of weird desperation more than a resolved, committed, loving relationship.
This Book made me feel...
Utterly thrilled that my knowledge of the occult and vampiric lore could be exercised.
