I was going to give this book an "E" rating, but then I saw that it contained the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis comedy, "Scared Stiff", and the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, "The Sorcerer", as well as Harold Lloyd's 1921 "Never Weaken", all three of which could frighten younger children. I'll admit these particular films didn't frighten me as a child. It was some of Bing Crosby's vehicles like "The Emperor Waltz" and "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" that me uneasy -- and they are featured in the book too!

everyone who enjoys Hollywood's classic comedies -- and who could not enjoy Abbott and Costello in "Hold That Ghost", "Lost in Alaska", "Meet the Mummy", "Meet Captain Kidd", "Africa Screams", "Buck Privates", "Hold that Ghost" and "The Time of Their Lives", or Jack Hulbert in "The Camels Are Coming", "Bulldog Jack", "Falling for You" and "Jack's the Boy", or Bob Hope in "The Princess and the Pirate", "My Favorite Brunette" and "The Paleface"?

the extended coverage of many of Harold Lloyd's funniest movies and the inclusion of great comic teams like Olsen and Johnson, Wheeler and Woolsey, Penny Singleton and Arthur Lake, Tracy and Hepburn, Laurel and Hardy, etc.

the inclusion of "Sitting Pretty", a much over-rated comedy. I've always thought Clifton Webb excelled in dramatic roles but was wasted in comedy.
