I have been an insomniac for over 20 years, not that it’s a constant problem, but I have weeks on end when sleep is just so elusive it really drives me nuts. So whenever I find something that looks like it might be an interesting, and plausible fix, I have to give it a shot.

In this book, Jan Sadler teaches what she refers to as the Peaceful Sleep Bedtime Routine, but she also explains why and how this practice works. Instead of just telling the reader, hey you need to relax and not let things get to you, she shows instead how to deal with the problems and stressors that keep us awake at night, through techniques such as visualizations, keeping a sleep diary, affirmations, meditations, and how to handle problems you simple can not control.

This book has been a real help to me, and I’m sure other insomniacs out there will benefit from this system too.
