Summary of this Book...
A young Quincey Harker finds himself on a tough road. His relationship with his father is quite complicated, to say the least.

Nevertheless, thanks to him finding himself in a turmoil of unexpected events, he sets on a road with an unexpected end.

He is a troubled boy, no wonder about that. He wants to pursue a career, a dream that he dreamed up for himself, of acting. Dating back to the times the book takes place in, it could be a promissing one indeed.

There is a problem though. His father.

Jonathan Harker going through much in his life, isn't the best father to be had. He is his father nevertheless. Or is he?

Jonathan never really liked Quincey's desire to pursue the shaky dream of creating a drama for people. He wants his son to be a lawyer. Much to the dislike of the young Quincey, he needs to listen to his father's will, otherwise losing the safety of his regular payments, that can support Quincey's dream, even if just for a little while.

Jonathan is a lawyer himself, and he wants his son to become the same.

So he sends young Quincey to Paris, where he is to study and enroll the famous alma-mater, no other than the proud Sorbonne.

There Quincey meets someone that he admires greatly. I think I don't have to say, that that person's job was of one that Quincey finds the greatest in the world (for him, or that's what he thinks). Yes that person is an actor. Interesting one, indeed.

He is also very famous, and he, for some strange reason, early in the story not so clear even to our hero Quincey, finds liking in him.

Maybe it's the boy's energy of youth, maybe it's his desire to become someone worthy to the society, like him, and maybe it's something else.

Nevertheless he soon finds out that something goes wrong with his family.

His caring mom pulls out stories old, unknown. The ones that were supposed to be kept under the lid of time, until death will take its heavy weight with them.

Quincey's mother slept with the count Dracula!

Young Quincey therefore sets on a road of revenging the dirt and shame trown on his mother and father (and himself subsequently, or so he thinks) and decides to find out the truth about his life.
This type of Book is good for...
This story is great in one thing.

It is the story, that we all can relate to.

The young Quincey is basicaly us, trying to find out who we are, and know the truth, so that we can walk through life with all the rewards that may possibly come from it.

I will not tell you how the story ends, or what are the other main characters in it.

I will only tell you, that the last few pages brought a few tears in my eyes, and yes, I had to come a long way to that, thanks to the very much action based style in which the book is written. :)
I recommend this Book because...
Nevertheless, the book is great, and I recommend it to everyone to read, and not only that. I recommend that as you are reading, watch out for clues, for connecting points that may come true for your life situation, be it in the present, past, or even your expected future.

I personally think, this will be a classic one day, and that the authors took the tough, but rewarding way (at least in the long run). The same way our main character, Quincey, the hero Quincey, took.
