This is season one of the highly acclaimed show about NY Advertising men in the 1960s. Season one starts in 1960 with the backdrop of the Kennedy/Nixon Presidential election.

It is a drama with an eye view into the world of the 1950s and 1960s.

Jon Hamm's performance as the mysterious "Don Draper" and January Jones as his wife Betty Draper.

the fact that there wasn't much humor in the episodes. This is strictly a drama and a soap opera-ish one at that.

maybe get season 2. It took me until the last two episodes to get hooked. I was sort of bored with it in the beginning and wondered how in the world this one won all those awards up against Dexter.

like I was back in time. They do a good job of creating a mood that is not modern in the least. It is sort of refreshing to go to a world without cell phones and computers and to remember what it was like.

after watching the complete season, I was interested in seeing how the characters end up. I didn't like Don Draper at first, but he sort of grew on me over time.

I am interested in seeing more of this show, but it is not like Dexter where I could watch it more than once. Here once was quite enough. I enjoyed it, but not excessively.
