Each year, a small Alaskan town faces 30 days of perpetual darkness. No one comes in, no one goes out. Folks there are tough and they know how to deal with the dark and the cold, but what they don't know how to deal with are a pack of blood-thirsty vampires set on draining the town dry.

Evan (Josh Hartnett) and his wife Stella (Melissa George) fight to keep their small group of survivors alive long enough to see the sun. Keep them alive for 30 Days of Night.

Anyone who loves real horror movies with honest to goodness monsters will love this movie.

I've been waiting forever to see a movie that actually had scary vamps in it! I don't want romantic vampires, or vampires that are beautiful. I don't want them to shimmer in the sunlight. I want my vamps to be dirty, evil, un-neutered,wild, soulless creatures who want one thing only - the destruction of all humans. 30 Days of Night is #1 on my list of favorite vampire movies.

If you like your vampires a little on the trashy side then this movie is for you. If you expect them to be sexy and sweet then I would suggest watching Twilight because this movie is the total opposite.

Not one person used garlic, a cross or Holy water in this movie nor did any of the vamps turn into a bat or a wolf. They didn't fly or disappear at will. They were quick, strong, in need to some dental floss and totally evil - just the way I like my vamps!
