Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
Riding with the King is a blues album for even those that don't consider themselves fans of the blues genre. Released in 2000, the cd is a collaboration of blues legend B.B. King and multi-talented Eric Clapton. Each song seems to take you on its own journey, yet also weave a complete story. Through their charasmatic voices Mr. King and Mr. Clapton are able to take you on a ride of emotions. You'll be tapping your toes to their upbeat version of "Riding with the King" and wiping a tear as you get lost in their soulful rendition of "Come Rain or Come Shine".

This is a musical adventure that is exceptional for a variety of occasions, from road trips to stormy nights to jamming out while excercising. Personally, I've found myself craving this music to unwind, pep up, or just escape for a little while. B.B. and Eric have become my zen.
I especially liked... | ||
I love how the artists were able to take songs previously released and make them completely their own. They've shown respect to the original artists, yet given the audience a new twist on an old favorite. Also, I was amazed at how it made me crave more of the same type of music, expanding my interests. Prior to listening to this cd, I would have never considered myself a fan of blues.
I didn't like... | ||
The only thing I can remotely claim to dislike is that their hasn't been a second collaboration in a decade. We want more!

Everytime I listen to this cd my mood is lifted, and honestly the first thing I want to do as the last note on the final song drifts off, is play it all again. The power in the blending of these two amazing voices is more than music; it is art. It creates an inspirational feeling in me to accomplish something, face the world with a smile.
This CDs & Vinyl made me feel...
As I previously noted, the cd took me through a range of emotions. "Key to the Highway" made me feel free and young, while "Marry You" had a tear sliding down my face at the depths of emotions love is able to create.
The n/a of this CDs & Vinyl...
B.B. King and Eric Clapton are accomplished soloists; both have a style all their own. Yet, together they blend their voices so well that you almost forget that there are two singers. In my opinion, this union has shown their true versality.

Everyone needs to have a cd that actually makes them feel. Songs need to do more than provide background music. This cd stirs up memories and dreams; something many of us don't take the time for in our busy lives. Pamper yourself; let this cd rejuvenate you.
