Summary of this Book...
Lindsay, a homicide Lieutenant for the San Francisco Police Department has to investigate string of related murders. Instead of a typical serial killer she is up against an elaborate network of criminals who operate much like terrorist cells. An interesting part of the plot is that the cause the killings are being committed over are not simple greed. The book addresses problems of world politics and poverty in the USA and abroad.
This type of Book is good for...
Casual reading at the beach, on a train ride, a lazy afternoon. Anytime easy to read fare is desired.
I especially liked... | ||
I finished the book in four hours. It reads fast and the story progresses well and at a good pace.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the other books in this series.
The author of this Book...
James Patterson and Andrew Gross teamed up on this fast paced page turner.
I recommend this Book because...
It's an easy read. While many violent events happen the descriptions stay clean and there is no shock effect of excessive gore. On the flip side is that all scenes that have the potential to be mature (adult scenes) are also left to the reader's imagination.
Further Comments... | ||
Although the book never goes into very deep details and stays action driven I had enough descriptions to enjoy the read. This is a third book and I read it first. That worked pretty well, as even characters who were undoubtedly established in earlier books were given depth and descriptions to make them visible and human.
