Summary of this Book...
Computer Science Professor Randy Pausch is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In terms of time his life is limited. However, in terms of teaching others what it means to live, his words are immortal. Many universities give retiring professors or ask professors to give a "last lecture." For most, it is an opportunity to lecture about a topic that interests them without any constraints. For Randy, it was a last lecture. Randy gave this lecture on September 18, 2007 and succumbed to pancreatic cancer on July 25, 2008. In his lecture, he tells his audience about who and what influenced him and talks about his work and how he helped others. It also turns out to be a great tool for his young children to learn about their father when they get older. Please visit the site The Last Lecture (www.thelastlecture.com/) to learn more about this remarkable person and to watch the actual lecture free of charge.
