This is about a guy who works on the the Night Shift at a morgue. His sidekick assistant has a bright idea to have an escort service run out of there so they can be nice to the prostitues.

This is a quirky comedy and is one of the first movies directed by Ron Howard. It stars Henry Winkler, Shelley Long and Michael Keaton.

I remembered it as being hilarious at the time I first saw it in the early 80s.

that the comedy wasn't as funny to me watching it in 2010. A lot of the jokes seemed really stale.

is funny except that Shelley Long is way too miscast as the prostitute.

I think when I first saw this it was a shock to see Henry Winkler play someone nerdy and vulnerable after he was Fonz for so long. Now I am used to him in those sorts of parts so it isn't as funny.

Michael Keaton is an adorable goofball and it was sort of fun to look at the styles back when I was a young calf.

it wasn't that funny, but I enjoyed seeing it again and seeing how my taste in movies has changed.

I guess this led to a lot of good stuff for Ron Howard so it is interesting to see what his comedy was like when he first started directing back in the early 1980's right after Happy Days.
