This is Ken Burns series on The Civil War. I try to watch it over and over again, usually in July when the Battle of Gettysburg was. I grew up visiting that battlefield and some of the most memorable times of my life have occurred there early on and recently.

anyone who is interested in knowing about the Civil War in the United States.

the part about Gettysburg and the actors playing the parts. Sam Waterston is Lincoln.

watch it again in about a year. I never get tired of it and the music.

like I am back in time watching it at my mother's house.

It is a documentary - the cast reads quotations. I like the lady who reads for Mary Chestnut and Sam Waterston the best.

it is an excellent way to learn the history of the Civil War.

This VHS tape means a lot to me and I have enjoyed it for quite a while. I think my friend, Richard, is the one who might have told me that it is so good. I love it!

I ended up taking my mom to Gettysburg hospital on one of her emergencies. Gettysburg is a very lovely and kind place. It is quite haunted.
