Summary of this DVD... | ||
This movie is hilarious and quirky. It is worth seeing just to see Hugh Grant's performance as the Prime Minister of Great Britain. It is by far my favorite Christmas movie ever. I have watched it every year (sometimes a few times) for about a decade now. It is about a Christmas Season and all the romance and heartache in relationships that can play out over the holidays and other times. It has romance, betrayal, hope and friendship.
This type of DVD is good for...
any fans of Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice as it has a lot of the cast of the first and of course, Colin Firth.
I especially liked... | ||
the whole cast. There wasn't a weak link in the thing. The cast includes Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Andrew Lincoln, Martin Freeman, Bill Nighy, Keira Knightley, January Jones, Laura Linney, Liam Neeson, Claudia Schiffer, Denise Richardson, Billy Bob Thornton, and on and on.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
laugh and see Hugh Grant be a nut again as the dancing Prime Minister.
This DVD made me feel...
like giggling. | ||
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is excellent, especially Hugh Grant, who I do not always appreciate.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is very entertaining with an all star cast. Keira Knightley wasn't famous when she made this. I am not sure if Laura Linney was either. January Jones of Mad Men and Denise Richards have small roles. Everyone in this movie is hilarious!
Further Comments... | ||
This DVD cracks me up every time I see it and I've seen it more than a few times. It is great holiday fun in a satirical sort of way that is very British. I saw it when it first came out. One year, I saw a reviewer pick it as his favorite Christmas film, so I went to watch it again and then I invited Mr. Hooves to watch it with me. I think it will be an annual thing for us. It is one of those rare films that improves with age. I cannot tell you how amusing Hugh Grant is. And Colin Firth. They both made me giggle and laugh.
