Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a film that started out as a Documentary of a Rookie NY Firefighter named Tony. Over the course of the summer of 2011 two filmmaker brothers (Jules and Gideon Naudet) followed Tony Benadatto as he lived through his Rookie Year. They ended up with an incredible documentary of 9/11, which includes footiage of both planes hitting the Towers. I try to watch this once a year to remind myself of what happened in all of its horror. We should never forget why we are at War and this helps remind me.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone interested in a first hand (unbiased) account of what happened on 9/11 and the terror that ensued that day. This is very powerful and moving.
I especially liked... | ||
Tony and the filmmakers honest reactions to the horror of those events as they happened.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
watch it again next year, I guess.
This DVD made me feel...
sad and like it was a different time before 9/11. Oh, it was so different in so many ways.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
isn't really a cast - they are real people living their lives. Some die and some make it out. There is death all around here.
I recommend this DVD because...
it explains in no uncertain terms the horror of that day of lost innocence and the loss of security from attack which was a false sense of security to begin with.
Further Comments... | ||
This is incredibly graphic and moving as a documentary. I cry at the end every time. Ronan Tynan sings Danny Boy as we view the faces of all those brave and angelic souls.
