Summary of this Book...
This is a novel about friendship and family and coming together when a member of the family is dying. It is written straight from the heart.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who has witnessed intense suffering and death of a loved one. It will make you feel as if you are not alone in the world.
I especially liked... | ||
the character of Steffi and how she finds her way to the love of her life.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read another by Jane Green. I think she is quite a storyteller.
This Book made me feel...
sad and it made me remember all that happened when my mom was so sick and then passed away. I was at her bedside just like the characters are at Calli's bedside when she passes.
The author of this Book...
knows how to make you care about her chracters.
I recommend this Book because...
it is sad, to be sure, but it's also comforting.
Further Comments... | ||
This book taught me something about fiction writers who try to incorporate their political opinions in their books that have nothing to do with politics. I could have done without the nasty aside about Walter, and was offended enough that I wouldn't buy any more of Ms. Green's books (I'll wait for them to show up on the used/trade circuit from now on) Why insult some of her readers, unless she thinks that all of her readers share the name political persoective.
