Summary of this DVD...
A drama about a lovable mom tried to do whatever best for her children and family while the other women tried to sabatose her because of jealousy and greed. The mom went through a divorce with her husband and had to separate their six kids (1 adopted), 3 kids per side. Ten years later, they both continued their own mooncake business; the hustand had successfully franchised the business while the mom still had a 'mom & pop' store. His second wife, whom he cheated with during the first marriage, was greedful and came up with many plans to sabatoge the mom and the children. But of course, the mom always unmasked the plans and succuessfully resolved the problmes.

This series has a good storyline with cliche moral (doing goods always surpass the evil doers). It's very sad and dramatic in the beginning, but the table will turn to the good-people sides during the middle and onward. The ending is a happily-ever-after.
This type of DVD is good for...
night watches when there's noone to interrupt and you can stop watching for the night when a plan "concluded".
I especially liked...
how it gets you to pump your fist at the dad for being a stupid-man, and to root for the mom.
I didn't like...
Toward the end how the second-wife's "pushing the grandma" revealed.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Re-watch all the parts where the second-wife and the "bad" guys' plans back fire at them. Makes me feel good :)
This DVD made me feel...
yay, one for the good guy.
The cast of this DVD...
is great! Especially all the older female cast members (i.e. the mom, second-wife, sister). They're such great actresses and play their roles well. The younger casts aren't too bad either. Especially the older siblings (oldest brother and second oldest brother, the adopted daughter, second-wife's daughter and the mute daughter). They're play off their part well with not-too-fake emotion. One big kudos to the mute-girl since she had to learn sign language for the part. I didn't care much for the other siblings. Especially the sister's daughter, I think her expression still needs to be more developed. If you just watch her behavior, you would have never guessed she would "sell-out" the second-wife at the end. She should at least have a change-of-heart-like expression before hand, but you get this cold-express like she didn't care, then bam! she turned. Anyways, the castings fit with their roles and the story well.
I recommend this DVD because...
it's a good watch full of drama, tear-jerking moments and happy endings.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
it's a long and some scene drags out too much.
Further Comments...
It's a good watch if you have the time and patient.
