A serial killer of young girls is on death row in Virginia. He reaches out to the only living victim of his crimes. She has built a nice life with husband and kids and tried to forget about him. He, with the help of a diabolical do-goodnick, tries to ensare his victim by promising to reveal the truth about all of his victims.

it is a story that cuts through a lot of the b.s. in everyday life. I love her observations about people, especially people who want to control others through threats and manipulation.

I can't say enough positive about this story. It pulled me in right from the beginning and made me see what is real and human about a detestable serial killer and his victim. Excellent!
