Summary of this Book...
This is a book about a suburban family in Minnesota and the ramifications of every minute detail of their lives. I have a rule that if I cannot get into a book by page 25 then I don't read on. This is an author that the NY Times loves and I guess I am supposed to like him, but I found his writing to be tedious and boring.
I didn't like... | ||
the way his sentences ran on and the way he goes on and on about people's foibles. I didn't really care.
This Book made me feel...
like I wasted time and money. I skimmed his Corrections book too and it was the same story.
The author of this Book...
snubbed Oprah. I guess that is what he is most known for besides winning a book award. If you like to read boring books check this guy out.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I found it to be condescending, preachy and boring. I could not have been less interested and this is a book I actually bought. This one taught me not to pay a lot of attention to what NY Times critics say.
