I recently saw the homogenized version of this classic rich guy falls in love with prostitute charmer on TV and dug out the DVD to watch the original version. It is much better than what they show on TV and the movie itself is a great romance with superb cast and music. It is worth revisiting!

anyone who wants to see why Julia Roberts became a movies star. I still think this is her best performance.

the way Julia Roberts brought out the engaging side of Richard Gere. No one else ever did this as naturally and well as she does here. This is his best movie also, in my opinion.

watch it again soon.

like I will still watch this movie in 10 years. It is 20 years old now and it is still better than most of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood.

it is a classic with a witty script. There is nothing I can say that is negative about this one. This is Julia Roberts before she realized she was a great actress at her young, unspoiled best. Lovely!
