Summary of this Book...
Supported by a base of blues, western folk rock and (I dunno) auditory magic(?), beautiful poetry is aligned here with virtuosic music. When I listen to this album I feel like I'm experiencing something entirely new musically. This album is Jeff Lang's finest hour and serves to imply the next album will be better yet. Best Songs: "Fisherman's Farewell", hmmm "Towards Love" Weakest Moment: ... when he's hiding from convenience store robbers in the loo. (got your attention yet?)
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who wants to think and feel... and maybe incorporate something special into their own guitar technique.
I especially liked... | ||
how there is no "B" side to this album- also the bonus material. It holds up as it's own musical publication. It's great to play along side older albums and listen to the artist maturing musically.
I didn't like... | ||
when the album ended. )=
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
buy a plane ticket, fly to Australia and see Jeff Lang live.
This Book made me feel...
alive | ||
I recommend this Book because...
everyone should have the chance to hear this.
Further Comments... | ||
Don't feel like paying for an import? click the samples at least! youtube Jeff Lang, then you may just find yourself looking to buy this album. it is his best. If you are a Weissenborn or slide guitar player, you need to hear this. If you've never listened to Jeff Lang, my friends, there's a massive hole in your guitar (and perhaps human being) education.
