Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the story of a Wall Street Firm at the beginning of the 2008 collapse. A Risk Management guy (Stanley Tucci) is laid off after 19 years with the firm he works for. He is escorted out of the building, but as he leaves he tells a young co-worker that he has been investigating something that could bring down the whole firm and all the world markets to their knees. The next 24 hours involves the firm trying to find Stanley Tucci to quiet him so they can unwind and sell of their worthless financial holdings before the whole market collapses.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who wants to see how cold and calculating Wall Street can be when it comes to hurting the "little people".
I especially liked... | ||
Kevin Spacey, the manager who is deeply attached to his dog. I thought his performance was very good. Simon Baker was good also.
I didn't like... | ||
Jeremy Irons as the big boss. He didn't quite fit the role and neither did Demi Moore.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
smack someone on Wall Street, but I don't know who. Maybe Dick Fuld, the head of Lehman Brothers and Angelo Masilo, who brought down Countrywide Mortgage. I think they would be a good place to start slapping people.
This DVD made me feel...
angry about what happened in 2008 and mad that no one yet has been prosecuted for this stuff.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is mostly very good and effective.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is a good story with a lot of basis in fact.
