Helping the reader understand what some stroke victims may experience. It can also help their care givers.

I liked to read of the authors experiences both before, during and after her stroke and recovery.

I'm not sure this is typical of what the majority of stroke patients go through. It was certainly not the case for my mother. So this book did not help me in my own experiences. That is NOT to say it is not worth reading.

Sad in some ways, but I was glad for the author and her family.

It is an interesting first-hand experience, written by the stroke victim. Often we see books like this written by the carer.
