Summary of this Book...
This is the true story of 11 girls from Ames, Iowa and their long-running friendship over many years. The girls were all born in the early 1960's so I was interested in them. I was also interested because my mum was from Iowa. In the end, I did not enjoy the book. I found the girls to be rather a clique and some of them are bullies, so that was a turn off. I gave it my 50 page test and after 50 pages I just didn't care.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that the girls considered themselves to be above some of their classmates. That came through loud and clear and it was a turnoff.
The author of this Book...
disappointed me. I found the style to be boring and dull.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I had high hopes for it going in, but I don't really enjoy reading about a group of girls who think their cow pies don't smell. I think they are a little full of themselves and that is a big turnoff for moi.
