Some of the mysteries that were revealed. They kept me intrigued enough to keep reading through the boring chapters to get to the good stuff. Also, the cliffhanger that ends the book means I will be buying the next one for sure!

The book's length. At 976 pages, many of the chapters seemed unnecessary and boring. The main characters were not given enough page time, and not much was done to further the plot.

The title chapters changed for this book. Instead of giving the names of the characters, the author used titles such as "The Prophet" or "The Captain of Guards."
