Summary of this DVD...
This is an outstanding example of a screwball comedy of the 1930's. It is about a paeleontologist David(Cary Grant) who is pretty nervous and nerdy. He meets a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants rich girl named Susan, played by Katherine Hepburn. She drives him nuts. They both talk non-stop over each other as they deal with 2 leopards (one tamed named "Baby" and a ferocious one who has escaped from the circus). A lot of mistaken leopard identity ensues and a dog named George ends up taking a dinosaur bone and burying it somewhere on a big country estate owned by Hepburn's aunt.

I love the scenes with the tame leopard playing with the dog. I also loved seeing Cary Grant play a big nerd. In one scene he wears a flouncy robe when Hepburn takes his clothes. His character is engaged to a Miss Priss named Alice who does not approve of his antics with Ms. Hepburn.

It turns out that Hepburn's aunt (May Robson) is the big donator who is considering a grant to Cary Grant's research.

It is a convoluted, funny mess. I found it hilarious in my youth. Watching it now, the fast talking got on my nerves at times, but I just think that is because I am older and grouchy. Cary Grant never gets on my nerves - it is Hepburn's screechy voice that does it.

Still, this is a fun and enjoyable movie that is on the list of the American Film Institute's top 100 movies of all time.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who wants to see a prime example of a screwball comedy with two major stars who lasted a long time in Hollywood.
I especially liked...
Cary Grant and the tame Leopard. I also enjoyed the singing of the song, "I Can't Give You Anything but Love, Baby" to tame the leopard. Very funny.
I didn't like...
Hepburn as much as Grant.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
maybe watch it again sooner rather than later.
The cast of this DVD...
is great at fast talking - even the smaller parts.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is a classic and enjoyable if you like screwball comedies. Be prepared for a lot of fast talking.
