A young, innocent Kathleen falls quickly for the dashing Erik who filled her thoughts day and night until his accident. Things change and their paths are unexpectedly separated, but their feelings stay the same.

A compelling read with a few character flaws which can be easily overlooked.

Even though some may be turned off by the main character committing adultery, I found that it was the one thing which made the character human and real. She fought her demons as much as she could but couldn't deny the pull nor her love.

In the first chapter of the book, Erik enters the story and Kathleen can't stand him. He's very confident and swoops in rather quickly for the first kiss, as with everything else. She's shy and determined, and yet she succumbs to him without much protest the second time.

Even though the plot seemed rocky at times, I rather enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes romance.
