Summary of this Book...
Winston Smith seems like an ordinary person in 1984 Oceana. In this world, Oceana, Eastasia, and Eurasia are the three superpowers. Oceana consists of the U.K and America. Winston Smith, however, is different. He isn't brainwashed like others and has his own secrets. It's after he starts a journal things start to change... 1984 is a dystopian fiction book that will certainly make you either think or emotional.
This type of Book is good for...
Someone who likes reading dystopian fiction stories, or political fiction.
I especially liked... | ||
the hints of hope in the book, and the characters.
I didn't like... | ||
the ending. I felt slightly disappointed but I understand that all books can't have a happy ending.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
sit and think, or reread it again. Or cry.
This Book made me feel...
A bit bored at the beginning, interested and excited in the middle, and just slightly depressed at the end.
The author of this Book...
is George Orwell, an author who writes political fiction books.
I recommend this Book because...
it's a good read and makes you think.
I don't recommend this Book because...
it can upset you very much, and it's a really long book.
Further Comments... | ||
It was a bit slow at the beginning, but by the middle you know that it's worth it. Grab some tissues when you're near the end though.
