Summary of this Book...
This is the story of the relationship between the Clintons and the Obamas since about 2011. It is not a friendly relationship on Bill and Barack's part, even though Clinton gave a great speech for Barack at the 2012 Democratic Convention. Some thought it turned the tide. This book asserts that Valerie Jarrett is more powerful than Michelle Obama when it comes to influencing the President. I am not sure I am buying that, although this guy writes these kind of books all the time and he's never been sued for libel. There are lots of juicy tidbits. For example, after the 2012 election, Bill called Barack and he wouldn't take his calls at first. They had agreed (according to the author) that Obama would support Hillary in 2016 in exchange for Bill campaigning for Barack in 2012. Only, when Bill finally talked to Barack he backed out of the deal and Bill hung up on him. It seems to me that the source of this phone call conversation has to be Bill, which is interesting. The book definitely is biased towards the Clintons so it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't the main source.
This type of Book is good for...
political junkees who cannot get enough of gossip and intrigue after the campaigns are over.
I especially liked... | ||
the explanation about Benghazi and what really happened. IT is the first thing I've read about that time and Susan Rice's behavior that made any sense at all.
I recommend this Book because...
it was entertaining reading. I read it in two days, which is quick for me.
