Summary of this Book...
This book tells the story of a once famous photographer that due to multiple financial obligations, is forced to lease her apartment in New York to another and rent a less expensive home in the country. She looked at this as a temporary situation, but didn't have a plan for how she would be able to overcome the finances even with the present plan. At first it seems she is putting off the inevitable task of selling her home and relocating permanently from the city she loves, but then she comes upon a cross in the woods that inspires her photography and changes the direction of her life.
This type of Book is good for...
Anyone who enjoys a character driven story.
I especially liked... | ||
That she explores her relationships throughout the story. The one with her mother strained due to Alzheimer's and frankly opposite personalities and the surface happiness of her father who lives with their family housekeeper. Her relationship with her son matures as the story unfolds and it is interesting to see her and his perspective change in the end.

The book made me think of the burdens and baggage that we all carry and whether some could be put down and left behind in order to find true happiness.
