Summary of this Book...
You wake up and don't know who you are or where you came from. That's creepy enough. Then you find yourself among a group of boys you don't know in a place you cannot escape from. That's Thomas' predicament in this book. Thomas is a teenager who with about sixty other boys his age try to escape from a maze in which they have been living for almost 2 years. Little do they know it's just a test of survival. When things start getting strange they panic. People go crazy, the Grievers are after them, and there's no way out. Or is there? Like dystopian novels? Then this is one for you.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like dystopian thrillers with a little it of mystery thrown in.
I especially liked... | ||
The suspense that came with the end of each chapter. The cliffhangers are what kept me reading.
I didn't like... | ||
The way the book ended. There was way too much going on, and it felt rather chopped off and incomplete. There were also a few parts in the book where the plot was at a standstill. It was like the author didn't know what was going to come next and was just stalling.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next one because I read the teaser chapter at the end. I also want to see the movie just to see how they interpreted the book.
This Book made me feel...
A bit depressed and grossed out a few times. It's not a very 'gentle' book and definitely geared more towards a boy audience.
