Summary of this Book...
Anne’s House of Dreams starts with Anne and Gilbert Blythe’s wedding, at the Green Gables orchard. Their first home is on the shore at Four Winds Point, which Anne calls “house of dreams.” In the village of Glen St. Mary, nearby, Gilbert starts his medical practice. In this place, the couple meet several interesting people. Anne’s former guardian Marilla still plays an important role as she visits Anne, now and then, and is there when Anne gives birth to her first child, only to lose him shortly after birth. This tragedy affects Ann greatly. There is also a great deal of involvement between the couple and their next door neighbors. Susan Baker, an elderly spinster, who becomes the Blythes’ maid is also introduced in this volume. Again, this book is spectacular as the earlier ones with its different and unique characters, most of them new ones. The plot involves the new characters largely, and its twists and turns are placed exactly where they should be. As to theme, it shows emotional growth as the result of a psychological pain for Anne.

I recommend this Book because...
I enjoyed reading it even though its content is treated as to favor young adults, but I still found it interesting as I hadn't it read it before. That said, it is difficult to read books in series, but in this series, each book is a whole and also the continuation of an earlier book. For that reason, this is probably one of the rare series that I have enjoyed reading.
