Literature student, young Anastasia Steel is going to interview young, handsome and rich entrepreneur Christian Grey. Amazed by his beauty and his secretly nature she realize that she want him. Christian's nature don't leave him cold for innocent Anastasia and he realize that he want her, too, but in his own strange way. When Anastasia finds out Christian's dark secrets and desires she is shocked but thrilled by his existence and the way he is raised. After they start passionate, physical affair Christian's personal demons and needs for control lead her to discovering of her own dark desires.

It's another Cinderella story, 18+ Cinderella story. It's fine for relaxing when you find yourself bored with regular and normal things in your life. I know women will understand me on this. I said Cinderella story because author of the book successfully created character and presented him to the world and he will be remembered, if not forever, at least for a longer period of time. We will see.

It's hard to tell that I liked anything in this book. Since they call it 'worldwide phenomen' most of us read different opinions from the people all over the world. I can't say that I clearly liked it or not liked it. Maybe I can say I liked Christian's appearance, his look and that is all. Nothing else. He definitely found his place as the most interesting book character in past years.

My opinion here also is split. I can't say I didn't like something. For a book who made such 'movement' and for someone who can ruffle half of the world I only can say that it is nothing special. Maybe that is the part I don't like. How can one book character make such a thing in the world, to make such impact when we see other things on the TV, or we read in daily newspapers, things that are worth our attention more than a guy who is great in bed? I mean, 'cmon.

I wanted to go and wash the dishes.

There is one thing I was thinking about when I finished first book of Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. I'm reviewing only first book and I didn't read the other two so my thoughts are related only for this one. Does anyone, except me, looked at all this as one abusive relationship? Christian and his 'contract' that Anna has to sign and like that play on his own weird rules, his behavior over her, his dominance, and somehow she cannot escape from all that because she thinks there is no other man in this world who can make her feel happy and satisfied. She even likes it, his dominance. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it really reminded me on nowadays women who cannot escape from a man who treat them in maybe wrong way because they don't know different and they are afraid that they wont like anyone else's way yet they know it is kind of wrong.

I don't know too much about E.L.James.

I recommend it maybe only because 95% of people worldwide read it and you don't want to look like stupid when some friend of yours is talking about famous Christian Grey and you have no clue why she is putting his character into the stars.

Books are meant to be for educating in some way. Every book leave different impact on us when we finish it. I wouldn't like that my child one day cannot wait to see the movie based on sex fantasies. I always thought that those should be shared only between two people who are involved in it and not shared with the whole world.

A poorly written piece of art. I can't believe that people got crazy over sex fantasies of one middle aged woman. As I said, my opinion is split on 50-50. I liked it and in the same way I didn't. I gave the reasons and explanation above.
