Summary of this Book...
There's always room for one more, thanks to Farmer Dale as he heads to the county fair in his red pickup truck. Trouble is, he's also hauling a load of hay and before long, they have a problem. The bossy animals he'd picked up along the way, all pitch in to help get the truck moooving once again. This rhythmic story is entertaining as each character has its own personality.

I especially liked that Farmer Dale picked all the animals up and in return, they helped him get his truck going again. Teamwork!
The author of this Book...
Lisa Wheeler is one of my favorite authors of children's books. I love her gift of words and rhythm. She was inspired to write this because her mother, Like Farmer Dale. always offered rides to friends and neighbors. And for years, they drove old clunkers, too, that looked similar to Farmer Dale's truck. Ivan Bates is the illustrator and practiced drawing real cows, close up, which the cows did not appreciate.
I recommend this Book because...
It's fun! | ||
