This type of Book is good for...
This would be a great book to interact with during Story Hour or one one with a young child. "ArOOO!" is repetitious and a fun way to take part in the story. Also, acting out being pricked by a cactus, splashing into a river, and falling into a deep, dark hole, would be fun, too.
I especially liked... | ||
This book, though it does not rhyme, has a lyrical tone to it I like very much. The illustrations are perfect for this little story. And I loved the repetetive, "ArOOO! I'm lost and I'm lonesome!"
The author of this Book...
Simon Puttock has written over twenty books for children. Born in New Zealand, he eventually became a bookseller, and then a writer. He resides in Scotland. Caroline Jayne Church is the awesome illustrator of this book. She also lives in England and runs a greeting card business. She makes her own paper, too, which she used to created the illustrations in this book. I love her portrayal of Cowboy Coyote.
