Splat the Cat crashes into a duck on his way to school after falling off his bike. The duck, however, does not quack, which Splat finds odd. It's not right for a duck not to quack. No matter what Splat and his friends do, the duck does not quack. Mrs. Wimpydimple discovers the answer. Now Duck quacks!

I liked the story line a lot. And the rhyme that is tossed in now and then flows well.

Based on the creation of Rob Scotton. Author and illustration of the Splat the Cat series and Russell the Sheep series. He lives in Rutland, England with his wife. Cover art is by Scotton, but interior illustrations are by Robert Eberz.

This is my favorite so far, though I've only read three at this point. It's fun to try and figure out why Duck can't quack.
