Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is an Irish movie that we got on Disk from Netflix. Colin Farrell plays an Irish fisherman who catches a beautiful young woman in his net and brings her back to life. Her past is a secret and she seems to be a magical creature who emerged from the sea. He saves her and in turn she saves him from himself and his alcoholic past ways. When she sings on board Syracuse (Colin Farrell)'s boat he catches a bounty the likes of which he has never seen. Syracuse has a wheel chair bound daughter, Annie, who is in need of a kidney transplant. She is weighed down by her alcoholic mother and her equally inebriated husband. Ondine is the girl that Syracuse rescued. She bonds with Annie and slowly her past is revealed as they all help each other to a new life in the end.
I especially liked... | ||
the location and the scenery.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that the accents made it very difficult to understand. Plus, Colin Farrell looks like he never bathes. He is very unattractive in a romantic part because he looks like he smells. I find him to be kind of offensive with greasy hair and the like.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
it wasn't that enjoyable. The thing I liked best was the scenery and the little bit of music that was laced throughout the sea voyages. We watched the whole thing, but didn't really like it very much. Waste of time all the way around.
