This is a movie that tells you at the end of the movie to not give the plot away.

I know I saw this film many years ago as a kid, but I didn't remember all the twists at the end.

The acting is brilliant and this movie made me a fan forever of Marlena Dietrich. Oh my goodness, what a performance and she was like 57 or something when she made this movie. She is gorgeous and totally believable in the role she plays.

Charles Laughton is good as the lawyer who defends her husband. But, I won't give the ending away. It still came as a shock to me when I watched it.

This movie was made in the 1950s and it's still very shocking today in what happens at the end. Holy Cow.

is great. But, it is Marlena Dietrich who I will remember from this and from Destry Rides again. She is amazing, but I don't like her singing. I don't get how anyone liked that singing voice I heard in these two films.
