This type of Book is good for...
A light reading, romantic trip of a book.This is a good and simple first novel for this author. It moves along at a small town pace and the characters are believable and well rounded.
I especially liked... | ||
There are times when all you need is a story to be simple. It should keep your interest, have interesting setting and characters and a little conflict which resolves itself in the end. This novel does this well.
I didn't like... | ||
I would have liked the style to be more in the present. The author makes a habit of creating a moment but instead of staying in it and letting the characters pull the reader through it, she stops the action to explain what happens through the main character. It leaves the reader slightly left out of the situations where instead of becoming involved with what is happening they are side-lined to be strictly an audience. I thought some of the plot threads were a little too weak and loose but pulled together well enough in the end.
The author of this Book...
This is a debut novel for author Carolyn T. Dingman.
