Iona Sheehan made a life changing decision and moved from the States to Ireland, where her ancestors came from. Her parents didn't care much about her but her grandmother told her all she needed to know, including a family myth about a dark witch who lived centuries ago.

In Ireland, she meets her two O'Dwyer cousins who take her in right away and she gets a job at the near by hotel where she worked as a horse trainer.

As her life unfolds and she meets the dashing Boyle McGrath who owns the place she works at, she learns that she herself is a witch and practices the craft with her cousins Branna and Connor.

Falling for Boyle, a cowboy pirate, had been easy for her but now that she's united with her cousins, the past of the Dark Witch comes to haunt them.

Anyone who enjoys romance mixed with the supernatural would enjoy this type of book.

Her descriptions of Ireland, the characters she creates for her books and the whole idea of an ancient evil connected to a family and haunting them throughout the centuries.

I did buy the entire trilogy because once you start, you don't want to be without the continuation of the story.

Nora Roberts writes her stories in vivid color and while it took me a long time to read any book she wrote, I must say I fell in love with her writing. Some might say that her stories are a bit on the slow side, but I find beauty in that, because I get to know the characters on a more personal level.

While many would say that her stories are repetitive, I cannot agree with them. Her characters make her stories and they come alive with her words. As a reader you'll get be in the story alongside those characters, not just on the sidelines watching the show.
