This book is an excellent companion book to the Basic Text aka Narcotics Anonymous. narcotics Anonymous gives addicts the tools they need to get clean and live a serene drug free life. Living Clean expands on the information available in the Basic Text. It gives addicts common sense measures and spiritual tools to use as they face the adversities of life. It brings the life of the addict full circle. It makes it clear that no matter what problems one encounters in life one never has to use again.

It is good for addicts with some clean time to their credit. Addicts new in recovery may find some of the concepts hard to understand. It is geared toward old timers in the program.

I liked nearly everything but I particularly liked the section on dealing with death and bereavement. having dealt with the deaths of my wife and both parents within a 13 month period I know how tough it can be. The book says it can be done. I know it can be done.

I thought the book may be too advanced for newcomers. Aside from that I liked everything.

When I finished reading it I wanted to read it again. My life centers around such things.

Like I could do and face anything. No challenge is too great and no mountain too high.

It is helpful in living a clean drug free life.

It's a little advanced for newcomers. I recommend it for those with experience.
