Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a modern remake of an old classic. We watched it on Netflix DVD in the mail. I enjoyed seeing Lily James as Cinderella and Cate Blanchette as her wicked step mother. Also, the guy who played Rob Stark from The Game of Thrones was fine in a very different role as the Prince. Helena Bonham-Carter was a nervously inspiring Fairy Godmother. It was an enjoyable film with the message to have courage and be kind. A lot of people could use that advice around about. Just saying. On this website too. My best advice is to move forward with kindness. Otherwise, you look like babies throwing tantrums endlessly. Good movie. I liked Sophie McShera (Daisy - Downton Abbey) as one of the insipid wicked stepsisters too. I don't like the way stepmothers are stereotyped, but whatever. It's the story here and the tradition. I know some biological mothers who are much worse horror stories as mothers. But, this is a classic they had to follow the story so there. | ||
